PROCEDURE FOR GIFTING AN APP FOR IPHONE/IPAD

To gift an app on the App Store, find the app on your iPhone/iPad, tap the Share icon (box with an arrow), select Gift App, fill in the recipient's email and a message, choose a delivery date, preview, and complete the purchase, sending the app as an email link to your friend.

PROCEDURE FOR GIFTING AN APP FOR ANDROID PHONES

Method 1: Google Play Gift Card (Recommended)

  1. Purchase: Buy a physical card or a digital code from stores like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or online.

  2. Send: Give the physical card or email the digital code to your friend.

  3. Redeem: They open the Play Store, go to their profile > Payment & subscriptions > Redeem code, and enter it to add credit to their account.

  4. Buy: They use the credit to purchase the app themselves. 

    Important Considerations

    • Country Restriction: Gift cards and redeemed credit are region-locked, so you and the recipient must be in the same country.

    • No Direct Gifting: Direct gifting of apps isn't a feature, so gift cards (physical or digital) are your best options.
